Infertility..

*** Welcome to INFERTILITY FRIDAY: Supporting a friend thru secondary infertility and beyond. If your new, catch up HERE! ***

Last Thursday was the day!! The day those tiny 2 little embryos would be re-united with their Mama.

It was going to happen at exactly 11 A.M on Thursday March 21st!

I refrained myself from jumping in the back seat like an excited little puppy and trusted them to fill me in one every.single.detail.

It would be a quick procedure... and be followed by a weekend of lots of rest!

The proud parents

After the procedure, they were handed their very first picture of their two babies...

Proud Mama M and her chick-lets
Later that evening, I ran across the street and up her stairs to say Hi! There she was, resting in bed surrounded by magazines and books... with a big 'ol smile.

She had her babies and was as happy. Like any proud mom, she showed me their first pictures and we oohhed and ahhed over how cute they were...

And decided that the baby on the left was a girl because she blasted first... and we all know girls are quick like that ;)

And her twin was a boy!

We talked about where their crib would go and if they would have blonde hair like one of their sisters...

And we joked on how the family would finally cross over into the "large family" world.

Exactly where they were put in...

As I was sitting up in her bedroom chatting with her, I got a text from Jason's step-mom asking how Michelle was doing. She too has been following her journey and praying for the best. I sent her this picture...

When I saw my Mother in Law the next day, she clapped her hands excitedly and said...

"I never knew twins from birth. It will be nice to see them grow up.."

They will get to know my Aunt Diana and soon realize that a trip to her house means lollipops and banana bread...

And that their close friends live right across the street in the Little Red House. They don't even have to knock to come in because they visit so often...

Good 'ol crazy Cuncle Neal lives on the next block... The ever present good sport whenever the kids play ding dong ditch or leave food to rot on his front porch just for fun...

Their other friends in Alabama... the way older ones that come for the summer...

They are fun to hang out with too...

And we can't forget Cindy... Aunt Cindy who comes to visit at The Little Red House. She brings their friend Ashlyn to play and the moms all stay up late laughing and yelling at the kids to go outside. She is an expert in make-up and all things shiny. She is FUN!...

And last but not least Grandpa Dennis...

Yeah, He is great to have around when the ice cream man comes cause he will buy ice cream for the WHOLE BLOCK!!!

He is the Grandpa of my friends over in The Little Red House

Yup, We love these little babies already and know they are going to have a great life... We will be the family they don't have living here, with enough arms for hugs and kisses...

No matter when they come or how long we get to know them...

They ARE loved!

Theres a whole big world waiting for them here!!

So today... we wait to find out if she is pregnant.

And we CELEBRATE! We celebrate their LIFE Now and in the future...

** To be continued...**

Pregnancy To-Do List... 22 Weeks!

With every pregnancy, the moment that line appears on the stick, my brain is BUZZING with the million and 1 things I need to do before baby arrives...

Then morning sickness hits and I just get thru the days, the list collects dust and I swear I will never survive to even read the list, let alone accomplish it!!!

But *ALAS* the 2nd trimester comes, followed quickly by the 3rd and my home becomes alive with activity to make room for our new arrival.

Once again, the time has come to dust that list off and get started on the gazillion things I need to do before my new baby girl comes home!

So, I thought I would share my list with you as a way of helping to make sure I GET IT DONE!!!

1) Get into our storage space and see if I have ANYTHING left for a newborn baby girl. Probably not but its worth checking out...

2) Craft store to pick up cute girly fleece fabric for a taggie blanket to make for baby, and initial letters for all the girls... Pink and black craft paint as well...

3) Get port-a-crib back from friend and set up in our room. (baby stays with us for a while)

4) move changing table from upstairs girls closet to our bedroom. Clean it and pretty it up. Will not only be used for changing station, but also to store all of her clothes, towels, burp cloths and such since she will be with us.

5) buy matching baskets for changing table ( and fabric to line them) to hold all small items and keep it neat.

6) Move around computer desk in our room to make room for baby things...

7) re-organize living room

8) Buy everything you need for a baby girl because I gave away all of my clothes, onsies, bibs... and some of the burp cloths I have are just too old to use on a sweet new little one... Not a concern though, God always provides all we need!!!! ( Did I mention monogramming them all?)

9) Switch little girls and older girls rooms around as the little girls now need the bigger bedroom since they outnumber the big girls. This can be done at our own pace since baby will stay with us but it will require ALOT of work, cleaning, gutting and time...

10) Buy paint for both rooms and make them nice for them...

11) Get our new HS'ing year all figured out. 1 month will be taken off after baby and I don't want to have to worry about lesson planning while recovering...

12) start doubling meals and freezing so I don't have to worry about cooking for a loooong time! =)

13) FINALLY FINISH Esther study so I can start BREAKING FREE!!! Need to get into that book big time. I can't wait!! But I have been slow with Esther. I need to get crackin!

The above picture is where my very ice age old Homeschool computer is... in our bedroom. Not the most convenient place to be but it works for now. I also throw some kid overflow over this way when they want to play games on the ol' pc and have fun. I sometimes sneak in there at night when hubby is hogging our beloved MAC in the living room and use the internet. Prayerfully, this next tax season another MAC will be bought and there will be more computers for personal and school use. With 8 people in the house, 3 computers really are NOT that many!! Oh, did I mention that this has to find a new space because our new baby girl will be residing in this spot??? But at least my dovet is beautiful and matches my walls. Thats a start!!

Have a blessed day today. Thank God for another day, Thank God for your hubby, Thank God for your children and thank God that we have HIM to go to when life gets too rough.

17 Weeks

Ok, so Im still getting the hang of this font thing. Hubby kindly informed me that the last one was annoying… so here is a new one for you. Let me know what you all think. =)

Yesterday was my birthday and what better way to spend it than listening to my baby’s beautiful HEARTBEAT!!! Such music to my ears and warmth to my soul. My 2.5 second Drs. Appt was reassuring and wonderful. I took a cell phone pic to remind me that all is well in my belly… and of coarse to share with you all.

3 more weeks till gender finding time. I CAN’T WAIT! The suspense is killing me! But at least I will be halfway thru… then just 20 more weeks till I get to hold my precious baby bundle. GOD IS GOOD!!!

14 Weeks and 5 Days

This is me!!! In all my pregnancy glory. I usually have NO pictures of me pregnant. I hate pictures of me with a huge belly and round face but things have changed and I embrace all that comes along with my roundness!

I also wanted a picture of me at exactly this stage. This is exactly how I looked when I felt baby #6 kick for the very first time!!!! YIPPIE!! I am so excited.... or at least I think it was a kick. It felt just like an early little flutter ( I pray it really wasn't gas =() I was at the computer late last night when all of a sudden I felt movement. It was so sweet and special. This morning I felt it again... in the same area. I think I will count it as a kick and treasure it forever...

Which leads me to finally saying goodbye to this little pink pill. Im actually gritting my teeth in this picture. This pill and I have had a very rocky relationship. I was taking one dose at night, right before bed every day for 12 weeks. In return, I prayed it would help me keep this baby and it made me 100% psycho-crazy. Im talking hormonal, mean mommy/wife to the fullest. Synthetic hormones are evil and I don't agree with them at all. I bid thee farewell and pray I never ever see you again!!!

But despite it all, I praise God for giving me the desire of my heart!

Let there Be 6...

" I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made ; Your works are wonderful, I know that full well... " Psalm 139 :14

On Valentines Day I got an unexpected surprise. We were shocked, happy, scared and in complete disbelief. God answers prayers. Even in ways we wouldn't expect.

" He will have no fear of bad news; his heart is steadfast, trusting in the Lord..." Psalm 112:7

February 25th, after days of blood work and number counts, the time came for a sonogram. At exactly 6 weeks I got to see a heartbeat. A strong beautiful, rhythmic heartbeat.

" He will cover you with His feathers, and under his wings you will find refuge; His faithfulness will be your shield and rampart." Psalm 91:4

I am exactly 8 weeks and 2 days along. I wait in faith that God did not give me this baby in vain. I have kept it a secret for too long. Its time I come out and share this journey with all of you... no matter what the future holds. Life is not always perfect. Its filled with hurt. Last night a friend told me that sometimes the devil wants us to remain quiet. Being isolated and oppressed makes him dance with glee... But its times like this that believers need to stand together.

So I ask for your prayers for my family and we tread on this very unexpected journey. We have no control. It lies all in our Saviors hands. Sometimes thats the hardest.... letting go. Not knowing and having to go with the flow...

Right now I will celebrate because I AM having a baby. A baby thats already anticipated and dreamed about. A baby that is so loved....

Straight To The Heart...

As we were decorating for Hannahs birthday party, our conversation turned...

Hannah..." Mommy, if the baby would have lived, what month would he have been born in again?"

Mommy..." March. His birthday would have been in March."

Hannah..." So, He would have turned 1 this coming March?"

Mommy..."Yes, He would be about 10 months old right now..."

Hannah... with a smile..." Awww, that would have been so cool. We would have had birthdays in January, February, MARCH, April, May, June AND July."

Mommy..."Yup, your right..."

Hannah..." Oh, I want you to have another baby mom..."

Mommy..." Me too banana... me too...."

and then we finished decorating the kitchen....

It was a GREAT party!
