But if you open the bible and read John Chapter 3 you will read the true story of Jesus teaching Nicodemus and explaining to him the need to be Born Again... straight from the horses mouth.
John 3:5
"Jesus answered " I tell you the truth, no one can enter the kingdom of God unless he is born of the water and of the spirit. Flesh gives birth to flesh, but the spirit gives birth to spirit. You should not be surprised at my saying, 'you must be born again.' ...."
The whole chapter is really worth a good read as it explains the meaning very well. Which makes me wonder....
Either the bumper sticker people are right or the infallible bible is wrong??? Or vice versa as one completely cancels out the other.
Ok, maybe it doesn't make me wonder. I know EXACTLY what I think is right. Hands down, no questions asked.
But... do you?
Here is a word of advice....
You never want to stand before the Lord after your life is over wishing and hoping you could have done things differently. By then its just too late.
On a lighter note.... our neighborhood pool is FINALLY fixed and after I scramble a couple dozen eggs for breakfast, we will be off... more 100 degree weather in our forecast. BLECH!
But have a marvelous weekend
xoxo
I haven't seen those anywhere, yet. I agree, you MUST be born again. The older I get, the more outspoken I am about my faith, not because I want to prove I'm right/you're wrong, but because I sincerely care about what happens to others.
ReplyDeleteSo glad I haven't seen these. I completely agree with you... born again... have to be!
ReplyDeleteThank you for stopping by my blog. I am glad to be connected to you... inspired by the fact that you have 5 kids that you homeschool and have one on the way. Impressive!
I am your newest follower. :-)
Scary stuff. It's one thing to know the enemy is working against you but to see it written so plainly and see it so widely accepted in the world brings scary to a whole new level.
ReplyDeleteWow. How sad that these people believe that. On a lighter note...glad you can go swimming again!
ReplyDeleteGASP* I have not see those anywhere around here! I am in 100% in agreement!!! I was saved at the age of 6. I went to a private Christian school & they taught us WHY we believed what the Bible said.
ReplyDeleteMy class was only 11 people. (biggest class to graduate from Lighthouse)
Hopefully OUR generation will see the need to VOICE what really matters & voice the TRUTH!
WITH LOVE!
I have not seen those yet around here, but I agree with ya fully. People often want o stand for something, but have little understanding of what they stand for. I don't have to agree with everyone to understand where they are coming from or what they believe, but it's the people who claim Christianity in some way and change it to fit them that make no sense.
ReplyDeleteI've never seen a sign like that. That is really sad.
ReplyDeleteI just found your blog today, I also have 5 children and homeschool. Congratulations on number 6 on the way! :)
Wow, I haven't seen that yet either, but I searched it after reading your blog. Scary how some people reject God's gift of grace. I saw one page that said 'Born again? Nope, I got it right the first time' and all I could think to myself was how everyone needs a second chance at something, and that's what God's grace gives us. A second chance through Jesus Christ...a chance to be reconciled to God. I'm so glad we know Him and know the Truth.
