The sun is setting fast and its almost time to set up some massive fireworks Jason bought on wednesday! We bought a whole watermelon and will be cracking that open quite soon as well. Tomorrow is another beautiful day. We will be heading to Falls park for a walk on the rocks and the bridge and then spend the afternoon by the pool. Life in a Large family is never dull. The days are flying by and pretty soon our house guest will be leaving. Im so sad. I love Aunt Megan and enjoy her company. I found a new blog written by a christian homeschooling mom of 9. She is GREAT and so inspiring. I enjoy reading her older posts for recipes and household management. Im off my friends. I will post plenty of pictures tomorrow if I remember. Now time to celebrate our freedom! AMEN!!!

Happy Busy 4TH
Hello my faithful readers! Happy 4th. I don't have a lot of time to blog today as I have company staying with us for a few days.... always nice. We have been keeping busy with late night chats, busy mealtimes and small outings. My list that I last blogged about is getting a lot of use. We visited the library with GREAT excitement. Books are a big hit in my home. We went to the closest branch and were a bit dis-appointed. It was rather small and had no childrens center. The outside was beautiful though. We signed up and became members! Two of my girls played computer games and two other kids quickly started browsing books. A few of the books I wanted they did not have.(I knew they wouldn't the moment I entered) But they had a few more I was interested in. We took out a total of 12 books and have been diving in every chance we can get. On Monday we will visit the main branch downtown. Its much much bigger and probably has everything we expect a library to have. I keep forgetting im in the country now. Things are not like NY. I will be researching books to check out before our visit. Most can be managed online which is so awesome. Late night dates with the online catalog is in the very near future!!! Im making it a point to only read christian books. Books to encourage my walk with God.I have a few on my to-read list.

Hey there...told you I'd comment. Love reading your blogs. Sounds like you had a great 4th!
ReplyDeleteDitto on the Christian books. I've got a whole shelf filled since going through my troubles! I just got another great one today. It's wonderful to find Christians you never knew were Christians!
Enjoy your visitors!
Hope you guys had a great 4th! Have fun on your date night eat some ice cream for me while you are out lol!
ReplyDeleteWe need to get together soon!
Yeah - Neil is there with you on library disappointment - seems like noting can compete with the Mastic Beach library. He hates our local library that is less that a half mile from our house - he tries to improve it by donating current computer books! He always checks - they get checked out like crazy!!! Ummm... Yeah - we pretty much just hangout at Barnes and Noble - we are dedicated to keeping them in business. Thank goodness that's only about a mile from home. We have a great library in Salt Lake that's HUGE and has everything! But who wants to drive 30 miles to check out books? By the time we spend $ on gas getting down there we could have just bought them. Ha, ha.
ReplyDeleteAnyway - WOW only Christian books!!!??? - Dang Gina! That's insane dedication. I love Christian books, but I need an escape from church once and awhile! ;)
I'm glad you guys had a great 4th. I loved your pictures! So, cute!!!
